Terms of Service

Draft — last updated 3 September 2026. Not yet reviewed by a legal advisor.

1. Who this is for

Fluency First is built for independent 1:1 ESL/EFL tutors, 18 or older, generating lesson materials for their own teaching. By creating an account you confirm you meet that description.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for what happens under your account. Let us know straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

3. Using the service fairly

Please don't:

  • Scrape, resell, or redistribute access to Fluency First or the content it generates in bulk.
  • Use the service to generate content that's unlawful, harassing, or unrelated to language teaching.
  • Attempt to circumvent the free-tier limits or billing.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the underlying prompts, models, or automation behind the service.

We can suspend or close accounts that do any of the above.

4. AI-generated content

Lesson content, vocabulary, and grammar are generated by AI and checked against real CEFR wordlists, but they can still occasionally be wrong or need adjusting. You're responsible for reviewing a lesson before teaching it, the same as you would any teaching material.

5. Ownership

Lessons generated for your account are yours to use freely in your own teaching. The underlying platform, technology, and templates remain the property of Fluency First.

6. Subscriptions and billing

The Free plan requires no payment. Pro is billed monthly in advance and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the Billing tab — you'll keep Pro access until the end of the period you've already paid for. See our Refund Policy for details.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Fluency First running reliably but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — the service depends on third-party providers (Anthropic, Google, Stripe, and others) that are outside our control.

8. Limitation of liability

Fluency First is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect losses, or for lesson content that turns out to need correction — you remain responsible for what you teach with it.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain.
