Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Fluency First (app.fluency-first.co.uk) is operated by Market Circles SL, based in Spain. For any privacy question, contact admin@fluency-first.co.uk.

2. What we collect

When you create a teacher account, we collect:

• Your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your password in readable form).
• Your display name and, if you choose to add one, a description of your teaching style.
• Lesson topics, levels, and any "lesson focus" notes you enter when generating a lesson.
• The generated lesson content itself (stored so you can find it again in My Lessons).
• Billing information if you upgrade to Pro — handled directly by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

If you add a student profile, you may enter their name, email, age, level, goals, and notes. This is your data to manage as the teacher — you are responsible for having a proper basis (e.g. consent, or parental consent if the student is a minor) to store this information about them. We only use it to help generate and send lessons on your behalf.

3. How we use it

We use your information to:

• Generate lessons and homework materials you request.
• Send homework emails to students when you choose to send them.
• Process your subscription and billing.
• Respond to support questions.
• Keep the service secure and working correctly.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train AI models.

4. Who else sees it

To provide the service, some data is shared with the providers that power it, each acting under their own privacy terms:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and account storage.
• Anthropic (Claude) — processes your topic/level/focus to generate lesson content.
• Google — creates and stores your Google Slides lesson decks, generates audio clips, and searches YouTube for optional video suggestions.
• Stripe — processes subscription payments.
• Resend — sends homework and account emails on our behalf.
• Vercel — hosts the website and application.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and protect your session. We do not load a third-party live chat tracking widget on the site.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and lesson data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and data deleted, email us at admin@fluency-first.co.uk and we'll remove it, save for what we're legally required to retain (e.g. billing records).

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by emailing admin@fluency-first.co.uk. Display name, teaching style, and student profiles can also be edited directly in your account settings.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.

9. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Spain.
